UK Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, Ed Miliband, has hit out at Tory scepticism over whether climate change measures may affect the environment, arguing that these measures would in fact help the economy.
This is over certain Conservative Party members arguing that reaching net zero by 2050 will necessarily negatively impact living standards, however, Miliband has responded that this is not necessarily true, and that British people do not want a culture war over climate.
Miliband has further confirmed that GB Energy, the clean energy state enterprise, will not be hit by budget cuts.
