Cows' milk particles used for effective oral delivery of drugs

New research suggests that extracellular vesicles (EVs), small particles found in cows’ milk, could provide a promising method for orally delivering RNA drugs. RNA therapies target diseases on a molecular level but have typically been administered via injection due to destruction in the digestive system. However, a study by Dr. Driton Vllasaliu, published in the Journal of Nanobiotechnology, indicates that EVs in cows’ milk could protect and deliver RNA drugs effectively when taken orally.

Wow, that’s really fascinating! I wonder if this research could lead to more accessible and less invasive treatments for patients in the future. What do you think are some potential challenges or considerations that researchers might face as they further explore this method?
