Debate Mate is tackling educational disadvantage in some of Britain’s most deprived communities by recruiting and training university students to run extra-curricular debate workshops in schools which have an above average percentage of children eligible for Free School Meals.

Becoming a Debate Mate mentor is potentially a great CV-enhancing opportunity for students - and it’s paid at £20 per hour plus travel expenses.
