EXTREME Hangout is an impact platform designed to give young changemakers a voice on environmental issues. Since launching at COP26 in Glasgow, we’ve hosted events at COP27 in Egypt and COP28 in Dubai, with exciting plans for COP29 in Baku! Our mission is to shift the climate conversation and inspire action by working with influential speakers and partners.

What You’ll Be Doing

As the Event Programming Coordinator Intern, you’ll work closely with the team, including founder Amber Nuttall, to coordinate speaker engagements for our global and local events. This role offers a unique chance to expand your professional network while contributing to meaningful environmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update event speaker lists.
  • Collaborate on COP29 programming.
  • Act as the main point of contact for speakers pre-event and on-site.
  • Assist with logistics, travel arrangements, and on-site management.
  • Provide top-notch customer service to our speakers.

Requirements:

  • A strong passion for environmental sustainability and climate change initiatives.
  • Interest in event management and a willingness to learn quickly.
  • Great communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • You’ll need to be on-site in Baku, Azerbaijan for COP29!
