At the moment, stories in the Middle East and National Elections are dominating the media. Unfortunately, this means that Ukraine has slid into the background.
There are many ways to keep up to date with the conflict, as most news sites have special tabs on the war.
However, BBC sounds has a unique podcast dedicated to the conflict offering insights into what may happen next and what is occurring in the region.
Absolutely, given the difficulties that Ukraine is facing due to reduced air defence capabilities, in conjunction with internal hindrances faced by countries to provide much needed aid, this is pretty concerning for all of us.
At the same time, I think this shows how we as humans tend to focus on the newest big thing, so at this point may be Israel-Gaza and tensions between Israel and Iran, but we should not forget about Ukraine. At the same time, a lot of people aren’t aware or up to date with conflicts happening in different parts of the World, such as Sudan’s Civil War, Myanmar’s Civil War, M23 rebels in DRC, insurgency in the Sahel, and more. I’ve been trying to keep up with these, I’d recommend Warographics and TLDR News on YouTube.
It’s sad to hear that the situation in Ukraine isn’t getting as much attention in the news lately. I’m glad there are still resources dedicated to keeping people informed about what’s going on there.
Thank you for sharing this. I feel like people (mainly media) have been trying to forget that this is happening, but i think it’s important to stay as up-to-date with the situation as possible
