As everyone is applying for spring weeks and summer internships, I wanted to share this interesting article I came across which highlights the main tips for finding a finance internship!
Here are my main takeways:
- Start early
- Stay organised - have an Excel sheet that tracks application deadlines and stages etc
- Apply to as many as possible - with internships being as competitive as is, it is important to grab every opportunity
- Network, network, network! It is much better to talk about a personal experience you have heard from an employee at a banking networking event then to have generic reasons of why you are suitable for the internship.
- Don’t falter! Don’t worry if you don’t get a spring/summer, it is more important to pick yourself up and grab the next opportunity waiting for you.
Hope this has been useful. Feel free to share any other internship tips in the replies
