Achieving a work-life balance is an ongoing process, and it may require periodic adjustments to fit your evolving needs. Prioritising your well-being while managing your medical studies will lead to better overall health and academic success.
Below is a great video from a medical student who shows how she managed to achieve this balance at university!
One thing I want to prioritise more off in my second year of Medicine is being able to manage my time effectively. First year, I was drowned in studies and focused on just that when I had more than enough time to do other activities. I felt like I was wasting my time if I wasn’t studying or in the library and then I realised over the summer, I’m not just a medical student but someone else alongside that and it’s truly been an interesting journey this year and am working on improving my time management skills so I can do so with more ease.
Yes! Definitely, It’s great that you’ve recognised the importance of time management and personal balance in your second year of Medicine. Balancing studies with other aspects of your life is crucial for your overall well-being. It’s important to remember that taking breaks and pursuing other activities can actually enhance your productivity and mental health
