CCHQ teams up with the Patchwork Foundation to provide paid summer internships for young people.
This is an exciting opportunity to introduce yourself to the world of politics, make connections, and new friends, get training and experience across multiple departments of the Conservative Party – all for a living wage.
This six-week scheme places you at the heart of Westminster, and the skills you’ll learn will put you in good stead for a future career in politics, public affairs, consultancy and much more.
What to expect ?
-Work alongside our research department, gain experience across our policy, briefing and political teams and gain an insight into what it takes to be a future Special Advisor in Government.
- Learn the ropes across our digital department with opportunities to assist with our social media channels.
- Provide support to the press office and learn what it takes to work in a busy political press environment.
- Gain first-hand experience in our Executive Office and learn about what it takes to run a political party alongside the senior management team.
Whilst some may be reluctant to work with a political party that doesn’t necessarily align with their views, this experience provides a great opportunity to understand how a party works, network with MPs and broaden perspectives on politics.
