OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, has announced artificial general intelligence, AGI, within 7 months. What is AGI, why is it different to AI? AGI is a form of AI which can achieve absolutely any task which human intelligence can achieve. While AI may generate text or images, or recognise an image based off of its features, or analyse data, these may be limited to the model or product. AGI can achieve any of these.
