UK's first MedTech Venture Builder backs 12 new companies

In a UK first, 12 innovative MedTech companies have been selected for a 12-month programme aimed at providing essential support for developing robust medical technology businesses. The programme, led by King’s College London at the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE), offers guidance on regulatory plans, clinical evidence roadmaps, and stakeholder mapping, all within a medical-grade Quality Management System (QMS). Companies will also receive hands-on mentoring from experts and strategic advice from Cambridge Consultants, part of Capgemini Invent. The initiative, in collaboration with several London universities, aims to foster cutting-edge MedTech innovations such as surgical robotics and Software as a Medical Device, supported by Research England. Leaders from the programme expressed excitement about the potential impact of these ventures on future healthcare advancements.
