With the Conservatives expected to make huge losses, and smaller parties like the Green party and Lib Dems expected to capitalise on this there could be movement between who is running councils.

Finally! Now i know what to look out for when it comes to elections

Certainly, whilst local councils have limits on their power by the national government, A change in party from NOC (No overall control) or any other party is likely to lead to significant change in policy and may make some councils run more smoothly.
