Researchers from McGill University and the Lady Davis Institute have found that vaping, particularly starting at a young age, may increase the risk of heart disease later in life, especially in men. Their studies, using mouse models, revealed that even short-term exposure to e-cigarette aerosols causes significant changes in lung biology, affecting pathways linked to heart disease. Long-term daily exposure to tobacco-flavored vape products led to increased lipid levels and plaque build-up in the heart and blood vessels, a condition known as atherosclerosis. These findings highlight the potential long-term health risks of youth vaping, despite current age restrictions and regulations.

Do you know if the effects are reversible if someone stops vaping early on, or are the risks permanent even after quitting?
