  • Workers in Bangladesh of major retailers like Levi’s and H&M have hit the streets in protest against working conditions and pay. Thousands mobilised in the capital , Dhaka, with 300 factories closed and two workers dead the situation appears to be incredibly tense.

Myanmar military junta vows to hit back at armed groups’ offensive

  • Fighting has erupted for a week across a large swathe of the Northern Shan state causing 23,000 to evacuate. The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the Abakan Army (AA) said on Thursday they had captured dozens of outposts and four towns and blocked vital trade routes to China. The government has vowed to respond since this is the greatest rebellion seen since the initial coup in 2021.
