A non-law student’s guide to a career in law

Becoming a law student through the non-traditional route (not pursuing a law degree) has become something common these days. So no matter the subject that you are currently studying, you have a shot at becoming a solicitor at a top firm! During my placement year, I have actually met many brilliant lawyers who did not actually study law! So I guess that transferrable skills really are a thing when it comes to the legal field now!

Yes, I really encourage anyone to do this path instead of the traditional one. Everyone I have spoken with was satisfied. The law degree is just a pain

Haha, not quite! It is a common misconception, but I am pretty sure that even if you study aerospace engineering you have a shot at becoming a lawyer!
