Ah, reminiscing about my university days always brings a smile to my face, especially when I think about all the amazing clubs and societies I was a part of. Being a member of the book club, art society, and film society opened up so many opportunities to meet new people and explore my interests. What clubs or societies did you enjoy being a part of during your time at university? Were there any memorable events or experiences that stand out to you from your time with these groups?

I got a little ahead of myself and joined about 20 clubs and societies in my first year, I didn’t really think about how I would manage my time and thought I might just pop in here and there to see what was going on.

Some of them included:

  • Volleyball
  • Football
  • Lacross
  • Gaming
  • Game design
  • Anime

My most memorable experience was actually the first meet up with the Nepalese society, it was a little awkward at the beginning but we quickly got over it and had an amazing night, missed my lecture the next day :grimacing:

Yhh, I feel like societies and clubs are essential for the ultimate uni experience. It is definitely a great way to meet new people with similar interests and make friendships that could last a lifetime!

I met some of my friends 3 years ago from an AI & Robotics Society. It was a fun experience building robots and competing against other groups in a mini-robot tournament
