Charlotte Henshaw reveals her nine-year struggle diagnosing endometriosis

Endometriosis, a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, affects millions of women worldwide. However, its impact on athletes is a lesser-discussed aspect, compounded by the challenges of delayed diagnosis.

Para-canoeist Charlotte Henshaw says that endometriosis “needs to be taken more seriously” as she explains how it took nearly nine years for her to be diagnosed with the disease.
