Chinese New Year is celebrated with a similar meaning to how New Year is celebrated in the UK. They celebrate the previous year and wish good luck when welcoming the new year. It is often celebrated with fireworks, traditional dancing and the colour red is very important. Many wear red clothes and young people are giving red envelopes with money inside. It is also a time where many enjoy food and celebrate with their families.
