Eczema: How climate change can affect this skin condition

Researchers from the University of California San Francisco have identified 10 climate-related hazards that may adversely affect eczema, a chronic skin condition. They have created maps illustrating the historical, current, and projected future burden of eczema relative to climatic hazards. Previous studies have shown that climate change can increase the risk of various health issues, including kidney problems, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory issues, and mental health problems. The study by UCSF highlights the potential impact of climate change on eczema and emphasises the need for further research in this area. This research was published in the journal Allergy.
