Currently, a huge number of students get a job and begin to combine two types of activities at once: labour and education. Not to mention dedicating time to friends and family. Sometimes such a step is dictated by the desire of the student himself, but most often by necessity. So, have you ever wondered how to combine work and studies so that it does not affect either the quality of work or academic performance?

If you are thinking of applying for a job, it is better to do sp in the summer. Think about it, when you join the team, you will need at least a month to finally settle in and become a part of it. This period will be quite difficult even without training loads, so summer holidays are the best time for starting the employment and adaptation. In the fall, when classes begin, it will be easier for you to cope with two areas of activity at the same time.

Plan your time When it comes to combining the two, you need to understand that time should be as clearly distributed as possible in accordance with the number of tasks. Both work and training require a fairly large amount of time, which many young people try to compensate for by reducing the hours dedicated to sleep, which, obviously, leads to health problems. Make your own schedule, clearly allocating the time for sleep necessary to maintain working capacity.

Your employer should know that you are a student and you are still studying, which means that there will be times when you will need to attend classes, events or exams and will have to take leave from work. When applying for a job, be sure to inform the employer that you are studying, and specify whether you will have the opportunity to leave the workplace to solve educational issues.

Take some days off during the time when you have a coursework or exams during the semester, as you will devote almost all your free time to prepare for those. If you try to prepare and work at the same time, you will not be able to committ to either fully. And either there will be a blockage at work, or the exams will not go as well as they could. The best solution is to take an annual leave in advance and be free from work during this important time.

It is useful to learn how to get rid of all of the thoughts about work while studying and vice versa. You need to think about the tasks that are currently being performed, and not about what needs to be done in another area. So never forget to put a mental boundary between such important parts of your life as work and studies.
