Mum-of-three hospitalised for vomiting blood after injecting £20 fake Ozempic she bought on Facebook

A Welsh mother of three, Jodi Jones, 37, was hospitalized after taking slimming injections she purchased for £80 on Facebook. Seeking to drop from a size 14 to a size 10, she bought four injections from a beautician without any questions asked. After taking the second dose on July 25th, she experienced severe side effects, including vomiting froth, bile, and blood, and was left in excruciating pain. Unable to stop vomiting, her daughter called an ambulance, and Jodi was treated at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Now recovering, she regrets using the injections and warns others to consult health professionals before trying such products.

Wow, that’s really alarming! It’s scary to think how easily someone can end up in such a dangerous situation from something they bought online. It makes me wonder—what steps do you think should be taken to better regulate these kinds of products and prevent similar incidents?

This is a nightmare. Always check where you’re buying from, especially when it comes to medications online. Verify the seller do as much research as you can and stay safe out there.
