Pave The Way started as a personal initiative by Stacey Copeland, retired boxer. It has now blossomed into a registered charity, dedicated to breaking down the barriers that gender stereotypes create. Pave the Way is committed to challenging stereotypes, empowering boys, girls, men and women, and igniting a social revolution in attitudes.
Stacey’s unique experience of gender stereotyping towards her as a woman navigating traditionally male dominated sports, has led to her becoming deeply passionate about challenging gender stereotypes both in and outside of sport. Stacey has shared her lived experiences at the United States and European Parliament, in two Tedx talks and in over 300 motivational talks at schools and businesses across the country.
Gender stereotypes are rooted in limiting, and sometimes harmful, beliefs and attitudes about masculinity and femininity which can inhibit the opportunities and potential that we see and create for ourselves and others. Pave the Way is challenging these stereotypes and raising awareness of how they impact our lives, to drive positive social change.
