New imaging study set to provide safer birthing predictions

Researchers from King’s College London and University College London are conducting a four-year study, miBirth, to predict safe birthing methods for first-time mothers. With a 57% chance of an uncomplicated vaginal birth, the study involves 500 participants using MRI and ultrasound imaging to assess factors influencing birthing outcomes. The goal is to create a predictive model for uncomplicated vaginal births, providing crucial information for decision-making before labor.
