A person suffering from advanced Parkinson’s disease demonstrated marked enhancement in their ability to walk following the use of a device that electrically stimulates their spinal cord. Although this study is based on a single case, it raises hope for the broader application of this method in addressing movement challenges for individuals with Parkinson’s disease.
