Based within our new, world-class High-Performance Centre at our Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, our First Team Medical and Sports Science Department strives to deliver a multidisciplinary world class service, so our players can achieve and maintain peak performance. 2. The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a significantly experienced, general Sports Scientist to join the First Team Sport Science Team.
The role will be responsible for all general sport science tasks for the Men’s First Team, and you will have the opportunity to be a part of an innovative group of staff and apply skills in specific areas of Strength and Conditioning, Performance Analysis, Data Analysis and assisting the Goalkeeping Coach.
You will play a key role in underpinning the daily tasks of the Performance Department which include daily monitoring and testing, applied recovery and adaptation methods, the collection and reporting of data, assisting the goalkeeping coaches with testing, monitoring of players and reporting of data at a high level.

3. The Person
To be considered for this role, you will need:

UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) accreditation (or an equivalent Strength and Conditioning accreditation)

Postgraduate degree in Sport Science (or equivalent)
You will need to have demonstrable, previous experience in a high-performance environment (ideally with a EFL/EPL First Team or equivalent) where you will have developed excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to have significant knowledge and experience in recovery and adaption applied sciences, conducting athlete testing and reporting and application of strength and conditioning with elite athletes.
You will be expected to create infographics, reports, screencasts and presentations at a high level therefore previous experience of using MS Power BI, Video editing and Athlete Management Systems is desirable.
