About the Talk:
Our healthcare journey generates vast streams of data, from medical imaging to a myriad of other non-imaging modalities. Merging these diverse data types through deep learning and multimodal AI offers unprecedented opportunities for holistic healthcare predictions. This talk will navigate the cutting-edge of AI-driven healthcare, showcasing fusion techniques across modalities for a comprehensive view of patient care. Greg will illuminate the path to multimodal integrative healthcare.
Speaker Bio:
Greg Slabaugh is Director of Queen Mary’s Digital Environment Research Institute, Queen Mary’s flagship multi-disciplinary research institute focusing on research in digital and data science. Professor of Computer Vision and AI in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, and Queen Mary’s Turing Liaison (Academic) at the Alan Turing Institute. He researches machine and deep learning approaches with application to medical image computing and computational photography. He has substantial industrial experience, with previous appointments at Huawei, Medicsight, and Siemens. He has over 200 scientific publications in computer vision, shape analysis, and medical image computing, and 38 granted patents.
