As a public affairs consultant, you’ll utilise your understanding of the political system to offer public policy advice to your clients. These can range from private sector companies, trade associations, charities , not-for-profit organisations and overseas governments.
Knowledge and understanding of political developments, sourcing key information from personal contacts and a range of medias sources is key to the job.
You will also identify key stakeholders in the decision making process on a local , national and regional level. It will be key to maintain relationships with these individuals and to assist your clients to promote and protect their interests effectively.
