Mindfulness from your phone

Calm is an app for you phone that. helps:

  • Improve sleep quality
  • Reduce stress or anxiety
  • Improve focus
  • Self improvement
  • Organization

Through a variety of sounds, exercises, playlists. movement and meditation routines.

Although there are many apps, podcasts and YouTube videos that have a similar approach to mindfulness. Innovation into using Calm paired with a VR set is being researched

This immersive experience could be use to aid therapy for patients with mobility issues, prisons, hospital bound or simply elevate existing methods.

Although results are scarce at the moment, new research being done at the moment seems to point in a promising direction.

I will try the Calm app for sure! Especially now, during the periods of coursework, anxiety can get in the way of well-being. Would recommned to try any of these apps to anyone who’s struggling right now. You never know what may help you :smiling_face:

I’ve tried meditating a handful of times, I think I’m too impatient but I’l give it another go, maybe I’l try Headspace, heard lots of good reviews about it. :+1:
