Saw a fantastic post from BelievePerform today, discussing what employees need instead of monthly wellbeing sessions. I thought that this also applied to us as students. Universities often hold monthly wellbeing sessions (webinars on anxiety, for example, or yoga drop-in sessions). But how many students actually attend these sessions, even if their wellbeing is suffering?
Whilst wellbeing programmes and perks like yoga sessions have their place, they are not the sole drivers of employee, or student, satisfaction. Organisations and universities must address the root causes that are damaging wellbeing and ensure that they are equipping people with the skills to be fit for purpose.
