What’s Actually Helping You Revise for Maths or CS?

Hey everyone :waving_hand:

Exams are coming up fast, and I thought it’d be helpful to open up a chat about how we’re all actually revising. Especially for maths and computing, where it’s not just memorising facts but properly understanding concepts and solving problems under pressure.

Some people dive into past papers, some use flashcards or whiteboards, and others code things from scratch or explain topics out loud to really get it. Everyone’s brain works a bit differently, so what works for one person might totally unlock something for someone else.

So I’m really curious to hear:

  • How are you revising for your maths or CS exams right now?
  • Is there a method or habit that’s working surprisingly well for you?
  • Any tools, apps, or resources you’ve discovered that you’d recommend?
  • Or even something you tried that didn’t work at all?

Whether you’re ahead of schedule or cramming like the rest of us, feel free to share what’s helping you stay on track. Let’s make this thread a collection of tips that actually work in the real world, not just on paper.

From what I remember when I did CS, one of the things that helped me other than the regular going over notes and doing practice questions, was writing small snippets of code in preparation for questions that could come up. It actually worked because one of the snippets I wrote was useful and similar to one of the questions in my ADS exam.
