If you ask females working in professional sport (be they athletes, coaches, officials) what they want to know more about with regards to female health, fertility is always up there as a topic that interests them a lot.
Yet as has played out this week in the news - there is so little information out there, and even then it’s very hard to know who to trust.
It’s probably a topic that sport doesn’t want to embrace as the system is not designed in anyway to support a female wanting to freeze her eggs and most women are worried about talking about this as it seems like they are somehow less committed by even contemplating having a family at some point in their life.
What I struggle with is where do you go to get the good information - the clinics and the fertility brands have a lot to say, but they have something to sell you, so how much can you trust them?
This is why I was pleased to see this documentary by the BBC
