Shorts or Skorts

Fédération Française de Hockey is next to change domestic hockey policy.

Tess Howard, Great Britain and England U23 International Hockey Player, was messaged by a mum in France who said her nine-year-old daughter powered the change when she wanted to quit club hockey because she was forced to wear a skort not shorts.

Her mum researched it and found Tess’ work and the courageous change made by England and Great Britain Hockey and International Hockey Federation last year. She got in touch with French Hockey and helped get the change over the line!

Now Solveig, her daughter, is more passionate than ever to play hockey. This is what it is all about. Keeping girls in sport.

This is not a moment, this is a MOVEMENT… about CHOICE.

See Inclusive Sportswear CIC for more on the movement.

Very inspirational to see that changes like that are being made! It would be really sad to see if someone truly enjoyed playing a sport, but would quit because of the kit/uniform they had to wear😔

slowly but surely does it! good to see changes to kit, to make sport more accessible to females, another example is giving them the choice not to wear white clothing
